Senior living with BHC
BHC has responded to the Richmond area's critical shortage of high-quality housing for low- to moderate-income older adults through our five active adult communities. Staffed support services are available in each of these communities to help residents stay active and healthy. Currently, BHC provides more than 550 secure, comfortable, attractive apartments and on-site amenities to adults over 55 years of age.
Our Senior Communities
Carter Woods
Located in Henrico County, this community was designed to meet the needs of active adults age 62 years and older. The one- and two-bedroom apartments are barrier free and equipped with emergency pull cords in the bedrooms and bath. Residents enjoy large community rooms, cozy lounges with fireplaces, a library, exercise room and a business center equipped with computers and Internet access.
Columns on Grove
Located at 1617 and 1621 Grove Avenue, seniors 55 and older enjoy a historic renovation that includes 28 one and two bedroom apartments in the Fan Area National Historic District.
Randolph Place
Randolph Place is a 50 apartment senior housing community in the heart of Randolph, a historic Richmond neighborhood. With a bus stop less than a block away, and shops and restaurants three blocks away, Randolph Place embodies the essence of urban living for the active senior.
Rockwood Village
Rockwood Village, located in Chesterfield County, is a community designed to meet the needs of independent adults 62 years and older. Each barrier-free apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, wall-to-wall carpeting in the living room and bedroom, mini-blinds on all windows, and emergency pull-cords in the bathroom and bedroom.
Market Square
A Chesterfield residence with 174 apartments for adults 55 and older that features community rooms, lounges, porches and inner courtyards.
Monarch Woods
Monarch Woods, located in the City of Richmond, is designed and managed to provide residents 62 years and older with comfort, convenience and peace-of-mind. Each barrier-free apartment has a fully equipped kitchen, wall-to-wall carpeting in the living room and bedroom, mini-blinds on all windows, and emergency pull-cords in the bathroom and bedroom.
